Tadley RFC - Presidents chosen charity

Every year, the Tadley RFC President selects their charity of the year. The charity chosen will be the focal point for Tadley RFCs fund-raising events for the season.

Congratulations to the Make Way Foundation who will be this years' selected charity.

A word from the Tadley RFC president: Mr Dennis Tucker

Club President: Mr Dennis Tucker
"At Tadley RFC we have always tried to support charities that mean a lot to us and our members Epilepsy, Brittle Bones, Air Ambulance, Rugby against cancer etc. when one of our members mentionedI the Make Way charity which provides support to children with disabilities allowing them to be able to live their lives as thoroughly as any other child with access to wheelchairs and other mobility equipment that can allow them to take part in sports and live a fulfilling life. Coincidentally, this member's wife is one of the founding trustees of the charity, so a really nice link to this charity, and if it helps Children what better use for the money we raise."

A word from one of the Make Way Foundation Founding Trustees

Founding Trustee: Mrs Sarah Sibley
"What The Make Way Foundation represents, in enabling children who need a wheelchair to participate in life with the freedom we all often take for granted, means something to everyone. Being a founding trustee, working in the disability sector and watching Fleur and Matthew’s journey with Toby makes me acutely aware that we often don’t realise how privileged we are on so many levels and the charity works to re-balance some of this through enabling kids to have more freedom and fun for the time they have with us - as every child should be able to. Thank you to the community of Tadley Rugby club for supporting us on this mission…."

An example of the great work delivered by the Foundation
We absolutely love the colour choices that Evie made / After all, a wheelchair should be an extension of who you are. Enjoy your long walk with your Grandma today, Evie - something you haven't been able to do for a long time. #wheelchairfreedom #independenceinstyle #FreedomOnWheels #ChangingLives #WheelchairsChangeLives #AccessibleFuture #EmpowerThroughMobility
